Created and implemented a quarterly and annual recognition program to recognize superior achievement. Determined need to improve morale and spark a competitive spirit. Personnel were nominated by their supervisors to compete for the quarterly award. Nominees were compiled in three categories and a board was convened to evaluate the personnel and their nomination packages. Winners for each category went on to compete for annual awards. Winners at both levels were honored at a formal awards ceremony. Result: Promoted healthy competition among personnel and provided excellent motivational tool. Productivity increased, morale increased and mutual respect increased.

Developed a mentorship program to share knowledge and wisdom of Senior Noncommissioned Officers with junior personnel. Created template with the appropriate subject matter for three day seminar; separated material for junior employees, junior level managers, and upper level managers. Solicited volunteer subject matter experts to teach at each level. Result: Employees at all levels reported program to be rewarding and enlightening, providing them encouragement to continue on their path. Morale of both employees and the instructors was high.
