 Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technologies professionals, has an immediate opening for a Cad Design Engineer in Madison, AL.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:· Generates accurate CAD drawings (to include structural, internal and external, console, paint layout, lightbars, etc.) on a timely basis· Reviews New Unit Bid Sales Orders (AutoQUOTE) for accuracy and general clarity· MIS responsibility to install and/or troubleshoot problems of computers and network systems and serves as primary interface with company’s Internet Provider· Prepares custom Bill of Materials for each new unit · Attends meetings to answer or clarify issues that arise regarding vehicle design or drawings· Assist company officers and senior staff members in the development and formulation of long and short-range planning and objectives· Responsible for Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) audit procedures and ensures client meets all QVM requirements, to include vehicle design inspections with Quality Assurance (QA) personnel· Performs final QA inspections on an as-needed basis· Programs for CNC machine using Gibbscam on an as-needed basis· Identifies, recommends and implements engineering policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining highest standards and improving the profitability of the operation· Attend 1- 2 trade shows a year (based on business needs) to meet with customers and or/suppliers· Ensures internal and external customer requirements are met· Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS:· HS Diploma or equivalent; college is preferred· 5 years of direct experience using AutoCAD· Experience with B.O.M., structural analysis, and QVM is helpful.
