" POSITION: Director of Manufacturing Operations (Greater Hartford CT area)REPORTS TO: VPGMPURPOSE: Provide hands-on leadership to plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and control the daily manufacturing operations required to produce precision machined components on-time and within budget in accordance with quality standards defined within the engineering data package and customer approved technical data. OVERALL ROLE: Plan, flow-down, execute & maintain production schedules aligned with the company sales and operations plan. Recognize & solve problems affecting production including scheduling, staffing, quality, supply chain, EH&S, facilities and equipment. Assign work, provide training, coordinate production personnel and communication between functional departments. Continuously monitor product quality and quality system compliance. Build quality into the product and reduce Cost of Quality (COQ) through process improvement, training, coaching and mentoring production personnel / first line supervision. Drive on-time delivery and customer satisfaction to eliminate competition.QUALIFICATIONS· Proactive management approach, lead by example hands-on management with the ability to champion initiatives to earn the respect of a highly knowledgeable and skilled workforce.· Significant hands-on manufacturing experience in a precision machining environment.· Proficient at anticipating and resolving internal and external resource challenges encountered during manufacturing & product delivery process.· High energy, motivated individual who thrives in a fast paced manufacturing environment.· Six Sigma or Lean Mfg. certification is a plus.· ERP/MRP systems planning/scheduling background a must.· BSME/IE or an equivalent degree with significant hands-on experience in manufacturing.ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITY· Natural progression to GM based on achievement of 2 year plan with potential consideration for promotion to Vice President in 4-5 yrs. based upon achievement of agreed upon objectives. email davidanthony99@juno.com "
