Job Category: Computing/MIS Position Title: Senior Security Engineer Salary Range: $90K - $120K Location: Omaha-Council Bluffs, Nebraska, USAJersey City, New Jersey, USAFort Worth-Arlington, Texas, USA Description: Senior Security Engineer with a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Security or Business, Management Information Systems and/or at least 7 years experience working on network, host, data and/or application security in multiple operating systems environments is needed in Omaha, Jersey City, or Fort Worth. He/She should have security certifications (CISSP, ISSAP, CCNA, etc) and/or top secret security clearance as well as experience working with: operating system security (Windows, Solaris, Linux, etc.); internet, web, application and network security techniques; firewall, network scanning, and intrusion detection products and authentication technologies; databases/basic database queries (Oracle, etc.); and IP networking and networking protocols. The candidate should also have an understanding of security related technologies such as encryption, IPsec, PKI, VPNs, firewalls, proxy services, DNS, electronic mail and access-lists and be able to work on multiple projects and efforts with limited supervision. - Apply security engineering principles related to building, maintaining, and monitoring secure infrastructure using various technologies (firewalls, networking products, VPN, intrusion detection, access control products, anti-virus, and security operating system or application tools and protocols) - Protect the company assets, associates, and brand by creating and managing security technologies - Lead efforts to analyze threats, database and system issues, threat intelligence, security modeling, technical assessments, forensics and fraud analysis. - Design, develop, and recommend integrated security system solutions to ensure proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected. - Collaborate with clients and other technical engineers to translate security and business requirements into technical designs. - Conduct security risk analysis of business and technology projects, communicating areas of risk, proposing mitigation plans or risk acceptance criteria to management - Participate as needed in documenting technical security standards, guidelines, and procedures - Document the software security standards, guidelines, policies and procedures required to reinforce information security policies. - Maintain technical proficiency in information security concepts, evaluate new security and systems technologies, propose new and innovative solutions to information security management, and mentor junior members of the information security team
