Manufacturing Stamping Engr, Automotive Tier 1:An outstanding career opportunity exists with a World-Class Automotive Supplier's Manufacturing Operations near Shelbyville, Indiana, a desirable locale southeast of Indianapolis, Indiana. This permanent position is titled Automotive Stamping Manufacturing Engineer, and the individual will be involved in the manufacture and assembly of automotive components and systems in a lean manufacturing environment. Although the Corporation's automotive component product line is technologically sophisticated, Automotive Manufacturing Engineering Professionals with solid automotive components manufacturing experience, regardless of component type, are encouraged to applyResponsibilities:-Responsible for continuous improvement, managing stamping equipment, launch of parts, new product introduction, and stamping processes / tooling.-Responsible for Project Leadership and Coordination activities in a team environment to coordinate engineering projects such as equipment and facility upgrades and new stamping process implementation.-Coordinate model change stamping process requirements (schedule, develop specifications, bids, etc.)-Further responsible for support of maintenance and production, for troubleshooting, repairs, and stamping process upgrades.Education / Experience-A four year technical degree, in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering is preferred.  -Knowledge of QS9000 (TS-16949 helpful).-Three to five years or more of experience in a manufacturing setting with previous automotive component part stamping experience, highly desired.-Knowledge of and experience in lean / cellular manufacturing (Toyota Production System or variants), highly desired.  -Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma certification helpful.-Effective written and oral communication skills are necessary, along with a passion for manufacturing excellence.
