Headway Corporate Resources has been entrusted to conduct a search for a Cost Accountant for a large manufacturing client in the Irvine area. Duties Include: Prepares monthly program trend reportsActs as a liaison between accounting personnel and program managers Analyzes and reconciles project inventory and cost of goods sold Prepares cost of goods sold journal at month-end. Reconciles Project Status Report to general ledgerAnalyzes sales order bookings and reconciles backlogAssists with the preparation of various financial reports Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting or Finance) 3+ years experience. Manufacturing environment and defense industry experience desired. Proficient in Microsoft Office Impromptu report writing a plusExperience in budgeting and costing a plusAuditing, financial report writing and MIS training helpful

Requires good analytical skills, with close attention to detail and a high level of accuracyMust be eligible to obtain DoD Security Clearance and be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident. Compensation:

$55,000+ (depending upon experience)
