JOB TITLE: Field Service Manager/Engineer

        Our client is located in South Florida, and is a compact entrepreneurial organization engaged in the development, testing, qualification and manufacturing of various hydraulic, mechanical and electrical military systems and components for various platforms of armored fighting vehicles and for the aerospace industry, as well as in the development, testing, qualification and manufacturing of various mobile HVAC (air conditioning), APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) and NBC (Nuclear, Biological and Chemical) systems for heavy off-road vehicles. With the ability to quickly respond to changes in technical and operational requirements to effectively support customer requirements from design to prototyping and on into production, our client enjoys the technical and financial resources and security of being part of a larger group of companies engaged worldwide in manufacturing systems in support of the defense industry.         Our client offers a combination of small company comprehensive responsibilities and involvement along with the technical and financial strength of a large multi-national publicly traded company providing the optimum in capability, agility, and security for our customers and employees.          Only those meeting these requirements should e-mail their resume because our client will not even consider anyone not meeting the following: Field Service Manager Position Summary: We are seeking a senior engineer with 5+ years experience in the service and maintenance of mobile air conditioning systems, who is familiar with APU or NBC systems for heavy off-road vehicles, and who is willing to work in a challenging, dynamic work environment.  Responsibilities: *     Maintenance and service of A/C systems for armored trucks and vehicles at customer sites. *     Integration of prototype systems.*     Troubleshoot technical problems on A/C systems for armored trucks and vehicles.*     Coordinate and supervise all field service operations performed by Field Service Representatives (FSR).*     Provide “on-call” service to customers, for emergency support.*     Provide customer training in the installation of, and use of A/C systems on armored trucks and vehicles.*     Purchase equipment and parts for customer service and support, as needed. *     Maintain ongoing communications with customers. *     Technical POC for the Customer.

*     Approximately 50% regular travel to customer sites (overnight and multi-day stays).

 

Skills/Qualifications:

*     Experience with mobile A/C systems repair and maintenance.*     Experience in industrial and/or automotive fields, A/C preferable. *     Electrical wiring skills. *     Computer software skills – Windows, Internet, Email, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word.*     General mechanical aptitude and skills. *     Experience understanding blue prints (mechanical technical drawings).*     Experience with hydraulic systems is a plus. *     Mechanical / Electrical Engineering degree preferred. *     Excellent communication and problem solving skills.*     Personable and highly presentable.*     Self motivated. Benefits:*     Competitive Salary for this position.*     Bonus plan.*     Fully paid extensive Health Insurance for Employee and Immediate Family.*     Fully Paid Dental Insurance for Employee and Immediate Family.*      Life insurance.*     401K.*     Generous Vacation Plan and Paid Holidays.*      Educational Assistance Plan.*     Credit union membership*     Direct deposit
