Our client is located in South Florida, is a compact entrepreneurial organization engaged in the development, and manufacturing of various hydraulic, mechanical and electrical components and systems for the military and aerospace industry, as well as the development and manufacturing of various mobile air conditioning systems, APUs (Auxiliary Power Unit) and NBC (Nuclear, Biological and Chemical) systems for armored fighting vehicles Our client offers the combination of a small company atmosphere with the technical and financial strength of a large multi-national publicly traded company. Please only send your resume if you fit the following requirements because our client won't consider anyone who does not fit these: Sales Engineer/Sale Manager Position Summary: We are seeking a sales manger with sales and marketing experience of 3 to 5 years, preferably in the aerospace and defense industry, preferably a mechanical engineer, with good knowledge of hydraulics (piston pumps & motors, valves & manifolds) and/or portable HVAC systems, who is willing to work in a challenging, dynamic work environment. Responsibilities: - Maintain good relationship with existing customers, conduct conferences and visits as required ensuring customer satisfaction while striving for new opportunities.
- Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses.
- Prepares action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
- Participate in the development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
- Participate in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
- Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
- Candidate shall have experience working as a civilian or military, functioning at the Huntsville location.
- Candidate can operate at the Huntsville location (From his home).
- Experience preferred is in procurement with strong ties to technical Engineering.
- Candidate will have experience and be very familiar with reset and overhaul activities on platforms from Huntsville, i.e., Rotor Craft and Fixed Wing Aircraft.
- Candidate would know how the system works as far as bringing on new supplier such as our client.
- Candidate would be charged with coordinating all communications with all Depots, either for Aircraft or Land Systems.Candidate will construct and implement a plan forward to give our client proper coverage at all Depots (Aircraft and Land Systems)
- Candidate will most preferably have procurement experience, whereas Technical degree and knowledge is secondary.
Skills/Qualifications: - 3-5 years of experience in sales.
- Willingness to travel at least 50%.
- College graduate, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
- Product knowledge and technical background in hydraulics (piston pumps & motors, valves & manifolds) and/or in portable HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of contracts and procurement procedures, regulations and terminology.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Self motivated.
