This integration is critical to the success of any marketing program. Learn more about us at www.seismicom.com. We are currently seeking a motivated Job Cost Accountant for our accounting team. The Job Cost Accountant is responsible for preparing, tracking and reconciling Client jobs. This position is also responsible for timely invoicing and revenue recognition. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Prepare and analyze weekly actual to estimate job reconciliations and keep Account Service teams and Management notified regarding estimate to actual status on all jobs.
- Prepare client invoices to conform to client specific needs and assure invoices are posted on an accrual basis.
- Applying client payments to open A/R
- Assisting the account management and production teams to ensure that the client's accounting needs are met.
· Develop and monitor job closing process. Reconcile completed jobs, verifying billed amounts, time and expenses to job estimates and formally closing out jobs. - Verify, track and reconcile Purchase Orders
- Recognize income when appropriate through accounts receivable entries.
- Monitor work performance on retained accounts and recognize retainer income as appropriate.
- Prepare monthly client profitability reports, staff utilization reports, and general ledger accounting schedules and other ad hoc reports as necessary.
- Assist with month end close and balance sheet reconciliations
The successful candidate will have the following required skills: - Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (BA / BS) in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 2 Years experience in general ledger accounting and account analysis. Marketing Job Cost Accounting experience a plus.
- Candidate must have knowledge of GAAP as well as good technical and analytical accounting skills including the strength to interpret data and provide relevant conclusions and recommendations
- Candidate must be able to interact with Clients, Staff and Vendors on a regular basis
- Candidate must possess working knowledge of Microsoft office with very strong skills in Excel and Word.
