Congregation Bet Haverim {CBH} - Office Administrator Job Summary:  The administrator is primarily responsible for the smooth operation of the synagogue office, and is partly responsible for coordinating all of CBH’s programs, staff, volunteers and logistics.  This individual must be highly organized and focused. She/he has central responsibility for the record-keeping, planning and publicizing of all activities.  Ideal candidates have excellent interpersonal skills, good decision-making skills, strong written and oral communication ability, excellent organization, intermediate computer skills and a willingness to support a diverse and dynamic Jewish membership.  The position is under the supervision of the CBH President, the Vice-President of Administration, and the Rabbi. Responsibilities: • Daily operations of the CBH office: • Facilities/equipment management: • Basic bookkeeping/financial: • Database/ calendar /information management: • Administrative support as needed: • Communication management: General Requirements: • Experience in a professional office work environment; preferably with nonprofit organizations • Bachelor’s Degree or higher • Reliable and discreet; maintains confidentiality • Able to manage and supervise as well as to work as part of a team and take direction • Able to communicate effectively, appropriately and positively, verbally and in writing • Proactive with good problem solving skills • Highly organized • Able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines and commitments • Schedule flexibility; including early Friday evening and occasional Saturday morning • Willingness and comfort working with a diverse Jewish population • Access to a car Desired skills: • Basic computer knowledge and internet skills • Proficiency with the following platforms and programs: Windows XP, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) Microsoft Outlook • Previous exposure to Rakefet helpful • Knowledge of Jewish traditions and Jewish communal organizations h

Compensation: $35,360 - $38,152 annually
