Congregation Bet Haverim {CBH} - Office Administrator Job Summary: The administrator is primarily responsible for the smooth operation of the synagogue office, and is partly responsible for coordinating all of CBH’s programs, staff, volunteers and logistics. This individual must be highly organized and focused. She/he has central responsibility for the record-keeping, planning and publicizing of all activities. Ideal candidates have excellent interpersonal skills, good decision-making skills, strong written and oral communication ability, excellent organization, intermediate computer skills and a willingness to support a diverse and dynamic Jewish membership. The position is under the supervision of the CBH President, the Vice-President of Administration, and the Rabbi. Responsibilities: • Daily operations of the CBH office: • Facilities/equipment management: • Basic bookkeeping/financial: • Database/ calendar /information management: • Administrative support as needed: • Communication management: General Requirements: • Experience in a professional office work environment; preferably with nonprofit organizations • Bachelor’s Degree or higher • Reliable and discreet; maintains confidentiality • Able to manage and supervise as well as to work as part of a team and take direction • Able to communicate effectively, appropriately and positively, verbally and in writing • Proactive with good problem solving skills • Highly organized • Able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines and commitments • Schedule flexibility; including early Friday evening and occasional Saturday morning • Willingness and comfort working with a diverse Jewish population • Access to a car Desired skills: • Basic computer knowledge and internet skills • Proficiency with the following platforms and programs: Windows XP, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) Microsoft Outlook • Previous exposure to Rakefet helpful • Knowledge of Jewish traditions and Jewish communal organizations h Compensation: $35,360 - $38,152 annually
