Job Summary: Graphic Designer for PrintGlobe, Inc. This position involves performing all production and design for PrintGlobe clients in addition to ongoing projects for the business itself. The job is extremely fast paced, and requires a solid proficiency with the key design applications, attention to quality control, and professionalism in dealing with all customers, internal and external. The perfect candidate will have the ability and desire to serve multiple clients and understand that their success is dependent upon the success of the client. Design Skills: • Effective understanding of managing print and design issues with design software including color separation, trapping, and four-color process. • Excellent sense for utilizing type and design within composition • Marketing and branding background contributes to creating strong design concepts promoting the customer goals. Computer Skills: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, Adobe Acrobat, some knowledge of Preflight Pro and Extensis Collect Pro; Dreamweaver, Microsoft Office Suite Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform timely completion of projects within Design Department • Recreate files in vector art, including illustrations and logos • Work closely with Sales Department to manage client and production • Other projects include, but not limited to, designing and maintaining monthly HTML newsletter and continuous HTLM marketing pieces • Use preflight software when necessary in preparation of overall design files • Develop corporate identity design solutions in a wide variety of industries; i.e. High-Tech, Politics, Custom Home Design, and Non-Profit Organizations. • Develop promotional marketing materials for national companies Interaction with: Customers Vendors/suppliers Staff Working Conditions: Urgent/strict deadlines Needed Attributes: Attire - professional, business casual Excellent client/vendor relations Detail oriented Comfortable with multitasking Good follow-through Confident and Courteous Responsible, reliable and loyal
