Company awarded highest profile public works project in the US. Will be performing a broad range of services pertaining to Hurriacne Protection in New Orleans. Will be a 2-3 year commitment, will pay for relocation, Per Diem, can live in any of the 4 Cities below: 1. New Orleans 2. Chattanooga 3. Atlanta 4. Baton Rouge STRUCTURAL ENGINEER Description of duties and required skills: Duties include performing general investigations, studies, analyses, and designs for metal and concrete structures, hydraulic wall, water front structures, foundations, dams, levees, retaining walls, I - walls, tanks, pumping stations, hydraulic flow structures, retaining walls, buildings, CMU and other associated structures. Applicant should have experience in the design, loading and analysis of hydraulic Structures. A working knowledge of structural analysis using a computed modeling programs and related software is a plus. Basic computer skills in spread sheets and word processing required. A basic understanding of building codes and design codes for steel and concrete required. Applicant should have excellent writing skills and will be expected to produce technical reports and calculations. Applicant must able to work with staff to produce engineering drawings, specifications, bid packages, and cost estimates for projects. Design Review Areas will likely include: • Sector and/or lift gates subject to hurricane loading • T-wall & L-wall design experience
