E M P L O Y M E N T H I S T O R Y 2001-2008 General Manager O’Brien’s-Gray’s Moving & Storage, Bloomsburg, PA As the General Manager for O’Brien’s I was responsible for all aspects of branch operations including sales, warehouse operations, dispatching & logistical scheduling, as well as general office / personnel management. My duties also included sales management, sales interviews and overseeing marketing efforts throughout the Columbia, Montour and Luzerne, PA region. As Warehouse Operations Manager, I was personally responsible for the safety and secure transportation of customer belongings during transitions in and out of the warehouse. I dispatched and scheduled all moving operations and ensured each relocation effort was properly staffed and prepared for a professional delivery complete with all required corresponding paperwork. I also interviewed, hired and performed background checks on all new employees as required. 1997-2001 Territory Manager Schwan’s Sales Enterprises, Bloomsburg, PA During my tenure with Schwan’s I personally serviced nine separate sales & delivery regions averaging over 100 customers per day in two-week increments. In 1998, I received Schwan’s highest award for sales excellence, the Chairman’s Club Award, and in 1999 I received the Vice-Presidents Club Award for sales excellence. I was responsible for developing new sales contacts, processing orders, promoting new products, and maintaining overall customer satisfaction. In addition, I networked with existing customers to develop new contacts and expand existing sales areas. As Territory Manager I also maintained operations, inventories and record keeping duties with minimal supervision on an on-going basis. 1993-1997 Account Manager Prudential Insurance Company, Bloomsburg, PA As an Account Manager with Prudential Insurance I was responsible for marketing annuities and mutual funds to consumers and investors. I provided insurance and investment consulting services to individuals and small groups on a regular basis. I was responsible for developing new sales contacts with businesses, organizations, new homeowners and many other prospective clients. In addition, I provided sales and consulting services in estate planning, employer benefit packages, (including health insurance), financial planning and additional CRM support services as needed for existing accounts. I was also responsible for all documentation and investment processing related to each individual account I serviced. 1972-1992 Inventory Management Controller United States Air Force My primary responsibility as a supervisor in the United States Air Force was to provide logistical supply support to various organizations and field bases throughout the world. I maintained strict inventory control management systems with critical deadlines and constantly evolving production schedules. For a time I worked in the European Headquarters of the USAF and was responsible for researching, locating, acquiring and transporting critical emergency aircraft components and other essential supplies in a timely manner. I managed over thirteen million dollars worth of broadcasting equipment located at seven radio and television stations throughout Europe. I also provided equipment and supply chain support during Operation Desert Storm. This included emergency engineering supply support in extremely volatile situations after aircraft attacks or accidents, in natural disasters and in many other disaster response emergency situations. Within my unit I personally supervised the processing of all emergency repair parts for aircrafts, vehicles, and other essential support equipment. I wrote and developed supply policies and procedures for all a variety of active supply units throughout Europe, and resolved procedural problems whenever they arose. Finally, I analyzed logistical problems and bottlenecks to determine the root causes and make recommendations to rectify them. I performed purchasing and buying services on a regular basis, in conjunction with in-depth, hi-tech product research and specification to secure materials and supplies from a variety of civilian vendors. I insured and verified the quality of the parts received while continually negotiating for the best possible price and product value. As Supervisor in the USAF, I hired civilian employees, developed production and work schedules, and wrote detailed job performance evaluations for both civilian and military employees. Most importantly, I evaluated and determined numerous ways to save the Air Force tax dollars while improving efficiency, maintaining safety standards, and promoting a positive team building work environment.
