Installed, developed,  and maintained various business systems, such as fixed assets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, Marwood inventory control, and billing. The older systems contained lots of spaghetti code.  Wrote gregjul and julgreg date conversion routines for one of the report writers.  Received an award and a that-a-girl memo for my work.  Lots of user interaction.

Maintained and expanded various systems including payroll, shop floor reporting, various financial systems, ad hoc reporting facilities, and material requirements planning.  Very small data processing shop.

SECURITY PACIFIC AUTOMATION COMPANY

January 1985-January 1986. Glendale, California.  Programmer/Analyst.

Maintained and expanded ETX, Electronic Funds Transfer, system, including billing reports for same.

SECURITY FIRST GROUP

Maintained Vantage Repetitive Payment system. Was responsible for installing and testing new software releases; fixing production problems; and extensively helping auditors, clerks, and operators use the system.

Developed and maintained future booking, pilot pension, mailing services, and personnel applications.  Documented software, lots of communication with users.

Developed inventory control system for gas/electric usage metering.  Responsible for database-updating and report-generating system utilities.  Extensive training in CICS/VS, some training in TRANS IV.

October 1978-May 1980.  Boston, Massachusetts.  Junior Programmer/Analyst.

Developed and maintained database utilities for financial applications, including municipal bond pricing, SEC reporting, shareholder reporting, and fixed-income analysis. Acquired some knowledge of financial applications.

Developed and maintained database applications in an interactive environment.  Most work was with the Analystics and Chapdelaine groups, on various financial and accounting software products.  Cooperative employment program with Northeastern University.
