As a Big 6 Technology/Consult Practice Lead and most recently, Regional Consult/Solutions Manager I have been required to have a broad understanding of the technology marketplace while representing both internal and external technology constituents. I have had the opportunity to lead engagement management teams for numerous short and long term projects and as such was responsible for selecting, mentoring and reviewing the members of those teams. Having spent time as a C level Technology Officer, I bring a solid background of real life experience to any position.
Selected Achievements and Skills – by Employer While with Coopers & Lybrand LLC (later PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC) My time with this Big 6 Firm was spent dual tracked. I worked for both the Strategic Technology Group (Later GTS) 60% and the Entrepreneurial Advisory Services (later MMAS) 40%. ü STG was the Internal IS services group of C&L and as such I had primary responsibility for my home office and oversight and secondary responsibilities for 3 other offices of the firm. o Local infrastructureo All local users (75 directly, 150 secondarily)o All local applications and databases (MS Office and Lotus Notes)o All local hardware support (IBM, Compaq, Cisco and Telco)o All connectivity support in offices and on site at clientso Roll out of all new services and technology locally, regionally (as Lead Team Member) and nationally (as a member of Firm Best Practices team)o Was responsible for all client integration issues including projected technologies of the Firm, infrastructure issues of the client and rollout of those technologies initiatives.o Lead STG teams for Firm wide New Hire Training both for actual use of Firm technology and for Audit practices utilizing Firm Technology. Dallas, Hartford, Chicago and Toronto locations. ü EAS was the Consult / Client mentor role and as sucho Was responsible to client as member of Engagement teams for mentoring client Business Task Owner to understanding, selecting, implementations, and deployment of all new technologies.o Assisted and mentored Client management with establishing Budgeting, Management Methods, Requirement planning and Best Practices for Care/Feeding and Break/Fix programs.o Guided Client Management through establishing requirements for new Technologies, Vendor selection, Vendor management and performance matrix’s. o Assisted Client is review and training issues with client IS and Operations staff.o Was the Technology member of EAS teams that performed Client Diagnostics Engagements.o Selected, managed and reviewed as Manager Firm engagement teams in support of Client engagements.§ For example;· In support of a $40M International Medical Implement Manufacturing client, defined and documented true business process, integrated and implemented Internet based (XML) Order Entry, Query, PPI system. Integrated and implemented new Intranet system in support of its distribution centers. US, UK, Mexico, BR, SA, Aus and Japan. Result was 15% decline in inventory levels, lead-time drop from 6 to 4 weeks for standard items and increase of inventory turns from 4 to 7 per annum at Distribution Centers.· While working with a $2B Insurance Industry client, managed M&A diligence and planning teams. Defined and documented Day 1, Day 100 and Day 365 Integration plans. Multi-State, Multi-Platform, 390, A/S 400, NT and Novell.ü Representing both STG and EAS, I also lead selected national engagements, for example;o While working in support of Tier-one Automotive supplier, defined, integrated and implemented multi-plant, multi-state Quality control, shop floor systems, TQM, SPC and MRO.o While working in support of Steel Industry leader, executed Board briefings as Engagement Lead for Acceptance and Selection of Integration plans for new ERP and HRMS systems. PeopleSoft… o While in support of an International Communications firm, I worked at defining integration and infrastructure issues with the C-Health.net. This currently supports CARAC activities in the Caribbean and Central America regions. While with FurnitureFind.comü First engaged with FF.com as a client on behalf of Coopers and Lybrand LLC. as Engagement Manager.o As such conducted business process review and documentation. o Organized Client staff to support exponential growth and conducted Definitions review and documentation for new underlying technology systems. o Lead vendor selections for all connectivity, hardware and software systems.o Lead Client populated implementation teams for all systems, voice, data and call centers. ü Later engaged with this Client to become CTO and EVP of Operations. o As CTO of this Web based Sales and Distribution organization, lead integration of ERP systems with Web based .NET Customer-facing systems and XML based Vendor-facing systems. § Planned implementation of new Voice and Data systems§ Defined and documented Best Practices for all Care/Feeding, Break/Fix. Wrote policy, defined procedures and reviewed Work Instructions.§ Hired, reviewed and managed organizational IT staff of 15.§ Lead Operational Managers for all Business activities. Reviewed and managed this staff of 30.o As EVP of Operations, § Defined and documented business process integration issues between legacy, internally developed and call center technologies.§ As representative of the organization, was responsible for defining and presenting Industry standards and methodologies for EDI-XML conversion, § Benchmarking and shipment tracking.
